Single to Quad Outboards
Hydraulic and compatible power-assisted configurations.
Authorized GCC Dealer
Glydus selection and supply through ERBA Marine.
115-350 HP Starting Ranges
Published single-outboard ratings.
One to Four Engines
Project-specific multi-engine configurations.
Fitment Before Quotation
Engine and vessel details reviewed first.
TWO STEERING PATHS
Hydraulic control or reduced-effort power assistance.
Both paths use hydraulic steering architecture. The right choice depends on the vessel, engine arrangement, operating duty and steering feel required at the helm.
Hydraulic Steering
A matched system uses a helm pump, steering cylinder or cylinders, hoses and fluid selected for the outboard installation.
- Published single-outboard limits of 115 HP, 175 HP and 350 HP.
- Regular-use and aggressive-use system paths.
- Single, twin, triple and quad configurations.
- Engine-specific fitment confirmed before quotation.
Power-Assisted Steering
An integrated electro-hydraulic assist unit reduces the steering effort required at the helm on compatible installations.
- Regular-use and aggressive-use power-assisted options.
- Compatible single and multi-engine arrangements.
- New-installation and suitable retrofit enquiries.
- Power assistance is available for compatible installations. ERBA Marine will match the system to the engine, duty and vessel.
CORE SINGLE-OUTBOARD RANGE
Five starting points for a correctly matched system.
The published ratings are selection starting points, not automatic fitment approvals. ERBA Marine confirms the engine-specific cylinder and complete system before quotation.
UP TO 115 HP
Glydus K115R
Hydraulic steering for a compatible single-outboard installation up to 115 HP. The cylinder variant and installation requirements are checked against the exact engine.
- Single-outboard application.
- Published limit: up to 115 HP.
- Engine-specific fitment review required.
UP TO 175 HP
Glydus K175
The next hydraulic range for compatible single-outboard installations up to 175 HP, subject to engine fitment, available clearance and steering arrangement.
- Single-outboard application.
- Published limit: up to 175 HP.
- Installation geometry reviewed before supply.
UP TO 350 HP
Glydus K350
For compatible single-outboard installations up to 350 HP that fall within Glydus’s regular-use category.
- Single-outboard application.
- Published limit: up to 350 HP.
- Glydus regular-use category.
UP TO 350 HP
Glydus K350P
For compatible single-outboard installations up to 350 HP that require the Glydus aggressive-use system path.
- Single-outboard application.
- Published limit: up to 350 HP.
- Glydus aggressive-use category.
SPECIAL APPLICATION
Glydus SH300
A special side-mount steering option for compatible outboard applications up to 300 HP when the installation calls for a side-mount arrangement.
- Special side-mount application.
- Published limit: up to 300 HP.
- Fitment and layout must be confirmed.
Selection note: “Regular use” and “aggressive use” are Glydus application categories. ERBA Marine reviews the operating profile and vessel setup before recommending either path.
MULTI-ENGINE CONFIGURATIONS
Steering solutions for one to four outboard engines.
Engine count is the starting point. Cylinder quantity, linkage, helm selection, rotation and hose routing are determined from the complete propulsion and vessel configuration.
1 OUTBOARD
Single Engine
Select from K115R, K175, K350, K350P or SH300 according to horsepower, duty and confirmed engine fitment.
2 OUTBOARDS
Twin Engines
One or more steering cylinders and the correct linkage or liquid-tie-bar arrangement are selected from the actual engine spacing and geometry.
3 OUTBOARDS
Triple Engines
A coordinated multi-cylinder system configured from individual horsepower, engine layout, rotation and transom details.
4 OUTBOARDS
Quad Engines
A project-specific configuration based on the complete engine package, operating duty, helm arrangement and available installation space.
MATCHED COMPONENTS AND FITMENT
A steering system is more than one cylinder.
The final quotation identifies the proposed system, included components and any application-specific or optional items.
Typical system contents
A typical configuration may include a hydraulic helm or integrated power-assist unit, one or more steering cylinders, hoses, hydraulic fluid and application-specific fittings or linkage.
- Helm pump or integrated power-assist unit.
- Steering cylinder or cylinders.
- Hydraulic hoses and steering fluid.
- Tie rods, linkage and connection fittings where required.
- Multi-station or autopilot provisions where required.
Information needed before selection
Complete initial details help ERBA Marine narrow the suitable system and prepare a more accurate quotation.
- Number of outboard engines.
- Engine manufacturer, exact model, year and horsepower.
- Two-stroke or four-stroke and rotation arrangement.
- Vessel type, overall length and normal operating use.
- Regular or aggressive/high-speed operating duty.
- Number of steering stations and autopilot requirement.
- New installation, retrofit or replacement.
- Existing steering details, transom photos and hose runs.
- Delivery country and port.
A published horsepower limit does not guarantee compatibility with every engine or installation.
AUTHORIZED GCC SUPPLY

OUTBOARD STEERING QUESTIONS
Glydus outboard steering FAQ.
Compatibility, power assistance, multi-engine arrangements and quotation scope explained.
Start with engine horsepower, then confirm the engine make, model, year, engine count, operating duty, propeller rotation, steering stations and installation clearance. ERBA Marine reviews these details before recommending a Glydus configuration. A horsepower rating alone is not a fitment approval.
Hydraulic steering transfers helm input through a matched hydraulic system. Power-assisted steering adds an integrated electro-hydraulic assist to reduce the steering effort at the helm on compatible installations. ERBA Marine can help compare both paths against the vessel, engines and operating duty.
Power assistance is available for compatible installations, but Glydus does not publish separate PS115 or PS175 models. ERBA Marine will select from the published power-assisted range according to the engine, duty and vessel.
Yes. Glydus publishes steering configurations for single, twin, triple and quad outboard installations. The correct cylinder quantity, linkage, helm and hose arrangement depends on the actual engine package and vessel layout, so the configuration is confirmed before quotation.
Both are published for compatible single outboards up to 350 HP, but Glydus places them in different operating-duty categories. K350 is the regular-use path and K350P is the aggressive-use path. ERBA Marine will review vessel use, operating conditions and engine setup before recommending either system.
The quotation will identify the proposed Glydus configuration, the components included, separately specified or optional items, availability, lead time and delivery scope. Compatibility remains subject to the engine and installation information supplied.
